Yamaha Motor Company Japan contacted us several weeks ago to request a date to visit MadMax Enerprises to see our Gen 2 Chain Drive Vmax conversion. This was not the first time we have welcomed Yamaha and we are awed and honored to have them return, this time to check out Paul's latest innovations for the new Gen 2 Yamaha Vmax. They took many pictures and to put it mildly were seriously impressed and stymied at the same time. |
With honor and pride we presented our Chain driven Gen 2 Vmax to Yamaha Motor Company and now to the Vmax community world wide. Yes, the chain driven Gen 2 Yamaha Vmax is available by the innovator of the chain drive for the first Gen Yamaha Vmax as featured in Cycle World Magazine, USA. Since 1985 Paul J. Civitello owner of MadMax Enterprise has dedicated his working life to the Yamaha Vmax only.
Paul (MadMax Enterprise) says thank you Yamaha Motor Company and your talented designers and engineers for the fine example of design and engineering genius brought to us with the Gen 2 Yamaha Vmax.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Japan. Our condolences for those that have perished in the recent earthquake and a speed recovery for Japan.

1985, NEW TO THE WORLD
The YAMAHA VMAX by Yamaha Motor Company. Shaft drive with 145 crank-shaft hp
The look of an awesome ride
Paul Civitello, aka”MadMax Enterprise" had a vision of the VMAX; its power brought to its' full potential with a chain drive system. Paul Civitello alone innovated the Chain Drive Conversion for the Yamaha VMAX in 1985, as featured in Cycle World Magazine by Steve Anderson. The chain drive, by Paul Civitello, proved itself at the Drag strip making a record pass of 8.40 ET AT 170 MPH, driven by the famous Bob Carlson of Torrington CT at the 1995 Rockingham, NC Nationals. To this day, that continues to be the World's Record for the fastest ET on the VMAX new or old version. The chain drive, originated by Paul Civitello has been plagiarized by many without the performance and reliability of the MadMax Enterprise Chain Drive. The conversion kit for the early Version VMAX 1985 to 2007 continues to rule the Motorcycle drag strips all over the world. In fact, Yamaha Motor Company purchased a chain drive conversion system from MadMax Enterprise in the mid 1980's.
NEWS FLASH
In 2009 Yamaha Motor Company introduced a newly engineered VMAX, with the same ingenious workman ship as the original VMAX. Yamaha engineers out did themselves with the 2009 shaft drive with 200 crank shaft hp.
